Looking to see if anyone has had experience with Fill Centers USA, specifically
the location in Mt. Laurel, NJ.
Or with Dr Fielding's office in NYC.
Or Dory Ferraro.
Or if you have a suggestion for a fill Doctor in the Philadelphia area. I'm
willing to travel between DC/Baltimore/Frederick/Harrisburg/Philly/NYC for a
good fill doctor who does follow up care and uses fluro.
Dr. Huacuz in Tijuana was my surgeon and my BMI was 57.5. My PCP was
more than happy for me to have this surgery. He had been trying to
get insurance (when I had it) to approve ANY weight loss surgery but
they refused. Mind you the only co-morbidity I had was high blood
pressure. The insurance company wanted me to be on my back or half
dead before considering approving the surgery in this country. I was
more than happy to take my 57.5 BMI self across the border and get it
done. I'm very happy I did!

There's a joke out in the Bandster World that the Lapband is nicknamed
the Fertility Band and that's again held true. Only this new Bandster
Baby arrived on his Mommy's 5th anniversary of being a Bandster. I
could not have asked for a better way to celebrate this milestone.
Debbi(skis)
10/25/02, Dr. Kuri
10/25/07 Alexander Jacob the newest Bandster Baby
When I spoke with Lori at Dr. Ortiz's office, I was told if you
weighed more than 300 pounds and/or had a BMI over 50 they would need
to speak to your PCP. She didn't say you couldn't have the surgery.
That was in September 2007.
Newbie here...what is the Seattle Bash???
donnacrosland <claras_attic@...
This year I am taking on a couple of volunteer roles with the
Seattle Bash and Splash and need your thoughts and input to make
this one of the best Bash events ever!
First - I am working on updating the Slide Show - I would love new
photos, especially from those of us who have done some plastics - it
makes an amazing difference for everyone to see the results. Also
if you are coming to the Bash please consider sharing your story -
there is a time on Sunday to do this if - so jump up to the Bash
site and volunteer yourself - I know I am.
Next - the Fashion Show - Please bring your before clothes and
soemthing fantastic to wear underneath - it is an amazing experience
to strut your stuff.
Last but most important - The Band - yes live music and the band has
said that we can do some request - so start thinking of good dance
music and let's give them something to work with...let's rock that
house!
Thanks everyone - look forward to connecting with you all again

Something is going on with my port. The last few days it has been
stinging/burning around the port site, and I can feel the edge of it (I
haven't ever felt it that well before). I have had 2 fills without
floro here in NC (I CAN get it under floro here for an additional
$370). I will be in Oregon for 3 weeks the end of this month. Does
anyone know somewhere I can get a fill within about a 3 hour drive from
PDX for less that $450? Thanks.

Dietnomore4me...
I would suggest reading these two threads. Read them both from beginning to
end, much good info there.

Hello dietnomore4me,
I don't know or care if he's done 2000 or 20000 or any other number.
he's done a lot over the last ten years, and once you get past some
"magic number" (100, 400, who knows) you know what you're doing. I
wouldn't want to be any doc's first patient. But if they've done
hundreds or more, that's all I care about.
It isn't a contest like "who hit the most home runs".
